I know I just wrote on Sunday but I've been having some problems and I think it best if everyone knows. I have major mouth sore problems and so far it hasn't been getting any better. It is so bad that my diet has consisted of smoothies and blended soup. It is very hard to open my mouth. They will postpone my chemo if it is still really bad by Monday. Please pray that it wouldn't get any worse and that my mouth would heal quickly.
I went to Children's today and received the drug that makes my hair fall out for the last time. Now my hair can grow back for good. That's one thing to be happy about. :) At least I can still smile even if it's hard to talk and eat!
Thanks for your prayers. It is greatly appreciated.

ReplyDeleteGet better soon!
ReplyDeleteDear Becca, You may not remember me, but maybe you remember my parents - Hank and Georgina Vandezande. I am their oldest daughter, Lisa. My husband Rob adn I and our 4 children visited you back in 2006. Your mom used to babysit me when I was young and lived in Surrey near your grandparents. I have read your blog and wish to encourage you through this time in your life. I understand it was your birthday yesterday - I hope the Lord answers all your prayers this year and that it was a very special day. God grants us the right to expect great things from Him for he promises us a hope and a future (Jer 29:11). The beauty of prayer that it gets our eyes off our problems and on to God. It gets us to believe God is in action already. You already have a very strong prayer life - it is beautiful to see -but when you are too weak or tired, know that there are even people in Chatham, Ontario praying on your behalf. May you find yourself refreshed by your rest last night and may God heal you.
ReplyDeletePatience, patience, patience is what you need and by the sound of it the Lord has equiped you in abundance with it. On this your birthday, you also need to be thankful for being born into a very caring Vroom family, we know, for we have experienced it first hand over the years.
ReplyDeleteDear Becca, continue to place your trust in the medical team that is providing you with their God-given talents. We will continue to pray for you and your family knowing that God cares for those that love Him. May you experience His healing power in the days that lie ahead. (PS. we apologize for the delay for our limited computer knowledge has erased our comments twice)
